In Israel’s northern Jordan Valley sits an immensely impressive Roman antiquity, complete with towering columns lining a cobblestone street, a massive outdoor amphitheater & impressive remains of fascinating ancient architecture everywhere. #Flat Dave at Capernaum on the Shores of Galilee
On the northern side of the massive fresh water lake called the Sea of Galilee sits the ruins of Capernaum, a fishing village established during the time of the Hasmoneans. Flat Dave models his signature smile as he narrowly explores ancient stone foundations & the two ancient synagogues built one over the other. Archaeological excavations estimate the structure on the bottom as in use during the time of Jesus’ ministry & Peter’s fishing days. Flat Dave, usually up for anything (except for big gusts of wind or poorly discarded matches), opted out of the Sea of Galilee’s windy shore.
